Applications of Back-Flushing Control Valve

Backflushing valves are used in automatic backflushing filtration systems that have two or more side-by-side filtration units. This means that clean water filtered by one filter unit is used as flushing water from another filter unit during the backflushing process.
The backflush valve modifies the water flow when it receives the hydraulic signal from the controller. It does this by shutting off the intake, opening the drain, filtering the clean water into the flushing unit using the other filtration unit, and then discharging the flushing water through the drain.
